How do I sign in to Map Your City?

Depending on the account type, there are two ways to sign in to Map Your City. Check out the section that best describes your situation.

IN THIS ARTICLE

Sign Up with Email

After you have downloaded and installed the Map Your City app from the Play Store or App Store:

  1. Open Map Your City
  2. You are requested to sign up with your email address
  3. Enter your email address and a strong password.
  4. Click Sign Up.
  5. Quickly hop on over to your email: You are sent a security code to the email address you just provided to verify it's you.
  6. The code is valid for 15 minutes only
  7. Did not receive the code - or the code expired - don't worry just request to send a new one (tap the "Resend" link)
  8. Enter the security code on your app screen and click verify
  9. You're in :)

Validate it's you

Sign In with Google (Currently Android Only)

After you have downloaded and installed the Map Your City app from the Play Store or App Store:

  1. Open Map Your City
  2. Tap Sign in with Google
  3. Tap the Google account you wish to use
  4. After verification by Google you are signed in and your email is confirmed.
  5. Next time you Sign In with Google verification is no longer necessary.

Sign In on the Mobile App with an existing account

After you have downloaded and installed the Map Your City app from the Play Store or App Store:

  1. Open Map Your City
  2. You are requested to sign in with your email address
  3. Tap "Already have an account"
  4. Log in with your email address and existing password.
  5. Click Sign in.
  6. You're in :)

Connect an existing account to Google

If you’re an existing user and wish log in with your Google account in future: Connect your Google Account in the app and you’re good to go!

  1. Open Map Your City
  2. If you haven't signed in yet: Follow the steps "Sign In on the Mobile App with an existing account"
  3. Tap Menu
  4. Tap Settings
  5. Slide the toggle "Link account with Google" to the right
  6. Tap the Google account you wish to use
  7. After verification by Google you are successfully connected.
  8. Next time you can simply sign in with your Google account on all your devices

Sign in to your Essentials Plan Web Dashboard

You only have access to the Web Dashboard if you are an Owner of an Organization. That means you either have 1. created an Organization or 2. you were invited to an Organization as an Owner by someone that has created that Organization. To sign in to your Web Dashboard with Email:

  1. Navigate to this link: Web Dashboard Login
  2. Enter the email address and password associated with your Map Your City account.
  3. Click Log In with Email

To sign in to your Web Dashboard with Google:

  1. Navigate to this link: Web Dashboard Login
  2. Click Sign In with Google.

Login to your Web Dashboard as an Owner

Common Questions

Why can I no longer log in with my Facebook credentials ?

We have improved your sign in experience, but the Sign in with Facebook button will no longer be available. Read this article if you have been using Facebook to login to the Map Your City app, and to find out what you can do.

How can I reset my password and what do I do when I forgot it?

We advice maintaining a strong password policy and regularly updating your passwords. Read this article on how to update your password or what to do when you got locked out of your account.

I was too late adding the code that was sent to me and somehow I no longer have access to the screen where I should have entered my code?

Don't worry your credentials where saved with us - but your email was not verified yet. Please log in with the credentials you submitted (Tap "Already have an account"). But beware your email is not verified and your account will be deleted after 8 days. In order to prevent this from happening verify your email by linking it to your Google Account (under Menu -> Settings). Can I use the Web Dashboard on my mobile device?

Most certainly. It works grand on all kind of screen sizes from Desktops to iPads and Tablets. It is harder to work with on smaller phone screens.
